April showers sure did bring May flowers this year, and what darling little lovelies they are. To showcase these beautiful flowers and as a new feature for the website, I’ve started a Bloom Calendar, and May is the first month. I will do my best to update the calendar each month as new blossoms make themselves known.
It might seem odd for an intentional gardener to include plants most notoriously known as weeds, but I include them because 1) they are blooming; 2) although they might annoy humans, insects still love them; 3) many common weeds have medicinal and/or culinary uses; 4) annoying or not, it’s difficult to deny the beauty of a field of dandelions.
So, without further ado, I present to you . . . What’s Blooming in May . . . .
